Transformer action figures all began as an animated series on TV. Transformers narrates the story of a world different from ours. However, it is a story that takes place on our world. It is a tale of a war among two giant robots. Amazingly, these robots can transform into just about anything they can, such as animals, objects, and vehicles. That’s why its called “Transformers”.
Transformers action figures can also be called as alien robots who came from the planet Cybertron. The robots were composed of two factions, the Autobots and the Decipticons.
Autobots are the protagonist in the film, led by the famous Optimus Prime. They transform into civilian vehicles, although sometimes they are military vehicles or aircraft. They are often outnumbered by the Decepticons, and they are supported by the humans. Other members of the Autobots are Bumble Bee, Side Swipe, Jazz, Ratchet, Ironhide, Mudflap, Skids and Jolt.
Meanwhile, the Decepticons finds glory in destruction. They are the “bad robots” in the Transformer Universe and the Autobots enemies. Decepticons are lead by Megatron. The group have a purple insignia on their faces, and they have red-colored eyes. Their troop is composed of The Fallen, Starscream, Soundwave, Brawl, Barricade, Devastator, Long Haul, Bonecrusher, Scrapper, Hook, Scavenger, and Mixmaster. Usually they transform into different types of aircraft, so they are well-known for power in the air. They also often transform into construction or military vehicles, and some objects that are smaller even into humans.
Transformers movie inspired the release of transformer action figure toys back in 1993. It was first manufactured by a toy company in Japan called Microman. Transformers action figures followed the popular release of G.I. Joe 12” action figures.
